EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Albert Schweitzer Leadership Awards Gala is an annual event in New York and Los Angeles that recognizes global, national and community leaders in a variety of fields who set an example of excellence, service and integrity for HOBY youth and society at large. Past honorees include Muhammad Ali, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and Gregory Peck. The night consists of a VIP Cocktail Reception, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and entertainment, followed by recognizing the year’s honorees.

Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) is a premier, international non-profit motivating and training young people to make a difference and become catalysts for positive change in their home, school, workplace, and community. Our mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation.
Since its founding in 1958, over 475,000 students have attended HOBY programs. HOBY annually provides over 12,000 high school students with leadership training, service learning, and motivation-building experiences.
