RECOGNIZING OUR SUPPORTERS

STATE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

HOBY State Leadership Seminars for sophomores are held throughout the United States every spring. The 3-4 day experience helps youth develop their talents to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community, inspiring them to make a difference in their schools and communities. Participation by urban and schools in rural areas is always challenging. The State Scholarship Fund helps local seminar sites fund deserving students’ leadership development experience who may otherwise would not be able to participate.

GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The World Leadership Congress for rising juniors and seniors is held each summer in July where students from around the world are invited to participate. HOBY style programs are also conducted in Canada, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Iraq, Mexico, the Philippines, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Recently HOBY programs in Uganda and Rwanda were launched, inspiring a new generation of young leaders. The Global Scholarship Fund helps young people from around the world participate in HOBY’s programs that otherwise would not have the opportunity. HERITAGE SOCIETY

Creating a legacy plan allows you to decide how your values and financial resources will benefit the people and organizations about which you care the most. Conveying your financial assets to heirs and charitable organizations as part of your legacy plan can be done through a will, living trust or beneficiary designation on a retirement account or life insurance policy. HOBY works with alumni and friends who want to create a legacy plan that supports the organization’s mission and advances its position as a beacon for youth leadership. Anyone who includes HOBY in their planning is eligible for membership in the HOBY Heritage Society.
